My views on the PureStay lip color Rose Mary:
As we all know that Lotus Herbals have come up with this new range of cosmetic products named Purestay, A 100% natural and 100% vegetarian long stay makeup. The PureStay lipstick is one of the launches from this range. Always eager to try out the new stuff, I picked this lipstick shade up and also a lip gloss.
Shade: Rose Mary though looks as a peachy pink shade in the online swatches is more of a reddened pink in real. It is a deep pink shade, leaning more towards red/maroon color that would easily compliment all skin tones. Just this shade alone adds the needed color on to your face and brightens it up. I compared the shade with the maroons, wines and plum lipsticks I have but it is unique in its own way. 😉
Texture: The lipstick is creamy and glides easily on the lips. Though it is completely matte (devoid of any glitters) still the finishing is a bit shiny /glossy. The shade is quite pigmented and gives a full color in 1-2 swipes. I am wearing it quite a lot these days as it compliments my skin tone and natural lip color well.
It fades evenly and is a bit transferrable. I won’t call it moisturizing so better apply a lip balm underneath. But there is no bleeding or feathering of the shade so a lip liner can be avoided easily.
Staying power: The color stays on a decent 4 hours on me and survives light snacks and drinks but it fades away after a full meal easily.
Packaging: I love the sleek light pink metallic encasing with the cute satin cover on top. The bullet is sturdy inside and easy to use to define the lip shape.
Pros of Lotus Herbals PureStay Lipcolor in Rose Mary :
•Deep reddish pink shade that would compliment all skin tones.
•Matte shade with a light glossy finish.
•Sleek attractive packaging.
•Decent staying power of 4 hours with very little fading.
•Creamy enough to glide on easily on lips
•Not much transferrable.
Cons of Lotus Herbals PureStay Lipcolor in Rose Mary :
•Not moisturizing at all. It dries up the lips more.
•Shade selection is limited.
•Shade does not survive full meals.
•The claim of Long lasting is not clearly met by the lipstick.
My Ratings: I would personally rate it a 3.75/5 as the shade is pretty and unique in its own way.
Final Thoughts: I definitely feel that the range is much hyped but does not deliver the long lasting claim at the price you pay. The lack of moisturizing capability is again a letdown. The shade is pretty for sure 😉 but I don’t think I would pick another shade from this range as they are easily dupable.
Hope you liked the review. Thoughts are welcome! 🙂
